Cookie Policy

Last updated: 18 September 2026

1. What this policy covers

This page explains browser storage and cookie-related technologies that PDFbrix uses or may use when optional analytics or advertising services are enabled. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.

2. Essential website storage

PDFbrix uses browser storage for interface preferences such as the selected light or dark theme and a short list of recent tool identifiers. This storage does not contain the contents of your PDF files.

3. Session cookies

The contact form can use a short-lived security session cookie to protect against cross-site request forgery and abuse. It is used for form security rather than advertising.

4. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and participating third-party vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Google's advertising systems can use information about visits to this and other sites to provide personalized advertising where permitted and consented to.

You can manage Google personalized-ad settings through Google Ads Settings. Depending on the advertising configuration, other vendor choices may also be available through the consent interface.

5. EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland

When Google advertising is served to users in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, PDFbrix must use a Google-certified consent management platform where Google's publisher rules require it. The live consent interface should be configured through the connected AdSense/CMP account; a simple homemade cookie banner is not treated as a substitute for that required certified flow.

6. Analytics

The downloadable build does not enable a third-party analytics tag by default. If analytics is enabled later, the privacy and consent setup must be updated before collection begins where consent is legally or contractually required.

7. Your controls

You can clear site data through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may affect preferences or contact-form security. Advertising-consent choices should be changed through the consent management interface shown where applicable.

8. Changes

This policy will be updated when the technologies or vendors used on PDFbrix change.
